The Young Writers’ Festival 2016 Headliners Announced!

9 September 2016 //  by First Story

We are hugely excited to announce that award-winning writers Naomi Alderman, Laura Dockrill, Anthony McGowan and Dave Rudden will be joining First Story at this year’s Young Writers’ Festival, on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22ndSeptember at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford.

The sixth annual First Story Young Writers’ Festival will bring together over 1,000 students from schools across the country for two inspirational days of writing workshops, talks and performances. The young writers will have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities, from intimate writing sessions to energy-fuelled poetry slams. They will be treated to invaluable writing advice from over 30 published writers, and the bravest ones will get to share their own work with their peers at the end of the day.
