First Story’s Young Creatives Collective is a fun and enthusiastic group that co-creates projects that showcase work from young writers. Members also develop leadership and communication skills and build their networks in the creative industries.
We are recruiting up to 10 new young people (ages 16-25) to join the Collective and help champion the work of young writers! Alongside co-creating projects you can take part in project development training, speak at events, be a role model, and gain experience for your CV or UCAS portfolio.
To be eligible to apply you need to:
- Be enthusiastic about helping young writers to find their voice
- Be aged between 16-25 on 1 August 2026
- Have attended a school that hosts (or has previously hosted) the First Story Young Writers Programme

The application deadline is 12:00pm on Monday 27 July 2026. You can submit your application answers on the form below, or choose the option on the form to upload your answers as a Word document, video or voice note.
