Laurie Bolger
Laurie Bolger is a London-based writer, presenter and founder of The Creative Writing Breakfast Club and Poetry in Pyjamas. Shortlisted for the Young Poet Laureate of London Laurie was awarded both the International Book & Pamphlet Competition and the Moth Poetry Prize in 2023.
Their work has gone into appear in The Poetry Review, The London Magazine, The Moth, Magma, Crannóg, Stand and Icarus and she has been shortlisted for the Bridport, Forward Poetry Prize, Live Canon, Winchester and Sylvia Plath Poetry Prizes.
Laurie is currently touring her acclaimed debut collection Lady, alongside her pamphlets Makeover, Spin, and Box Rooms and this work has taken her to iconic stages including the Royal Albert Hall, the Old Vic, Tate and St Paul’s Cathedral and collaborations with Google, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Nationwide, BBC Global News, BBC Radio 1, Channel 4, Sky Arts + charities such as Refuge, Mind UK and Choose Love.
A passionate community builder Laurie runs regular workshops creating welcoming spaces where people can write, share their work and celebrate their own unique voices and creativity together.
