Erin Bolens

Erin is a writer, facilitator and counsellor, and a former Glastonbury slam champion. She was a Roundhouse resident artist and created a poetry show about loss and legacy called What We Leave Behind which toured in 2018 in collaboration with festivals, hospices and grief charities. Erin has written, performed and taught for Roundhouse, Apples and Snakes, Poetry Takeaway, The Poetry Society, Discover Story Centre, Boat Poets, Nationwide Building Society, Royal Academy of Arts, BBC Stoke and many schools, poetry nights and community events across the country. She has been published in several anthologies and her first full collection Alternate Endings was published by Burning Eye Books in 2020.

Erin is also a BACP accredited counsellor. She regularly incorporates creativity and writing into her therapeutic work and is passionate about the power of writing and sharing as a form of expression. Erin has worked in schools as a teaching assistant, a 1:1 support worker, a school therapist and a visiting poet. She is a down-to-earth facilitator who is experienced in school settings and really loves working creatively with young people.
