Write-Along Movies at Genesis Cinema turns two

28 June 2019 //  by First Story

If you live in London and you write, get yourself along to the iconic Genesis Cinema, for the city’s only (known) ‘Film Club and Writers’ Hub’.

Write-Along Movies is a regular event, created and run by Chay Collins, and hosted at Genesis Cinema in London’s East End.

Guests first watch a film that features a character shown to be productive in the act of writing or creating, then they’re encouraged to take that energy into their own writing.

Bring along a project that you are currently working on, or simply be inspired by the movie’s themes to write something new.

Write-Along Movies is free attend, which includes a film screening, tea and coffee (while it lasts!) and a relaxed space, Genesis Cinema’s Bar Paragon, to work or network in after the film, surrounded by like-minded people.

Write-Along Movies has been donating to First Story since 2017. In fact the 13th July 2019 screening marks its two year anniversary. We’re incredibly grateful for their committed ongoing support — happy birthday and a huge thank you to Chay, Genesis and everyone who’s ever donated!
