First Story is delighted to have secured funding to deliver a new Young Creatives Programme over the next three years. This is an exciting opportunity for us to develop new progression routes for our growing alumni network, leading on from our highly successful Young Writers Programme.
We’re delighted to be able to respond to what young people have told us they want and offer more progression opportunities for people interested in writing and other creative careers.
Beth Goddard, Head of Programmes
Our Young Creatives Programme will support First Story alumni and other young people to engage in opportunities to develop their skills, co-create new platforms to showcase their writing, and build their networks in the creative industries. Alongside this, we will recruit a Young Creatives project group to develop, lead and deliver programming that amplifies the voices of young people and platforms their work to the wider creative community. We will also be supporting young people to become First Story trustees as part of the project.
Rose Condo has joined the First Story team as the Young Creatives Manager. With over 20 years of experience as an arts project manager and creative practitioner, she is thrilled to be stepping in to this new role.
Anyone, aged 18+ who has completed First Story’s Young Writers Programme interested in being part of the project group should contact Rose at rose.condo@firststory.org.uk.
First Story Young Creatives is supported by Arts Council England.
