To celebrate Bradford 2025, the current UK City of Culture, in a truly creative way, First Story Partner School Co-op Academy Grange teamed up with The People Powered Press – a letterpress and arts workshop based in Saltaire, home to the world’s largest printing press of its kind!
Under the guidance of poet Antony Dunn the words of our young writers were brought to life in giant letterpress posters and ‘zines, some of which are now on public display at the National Science and Media Museum and City Library Bradford until December.
Some of these incredible works will feature as part of the Saltaire Arts Trail in late May. We’re proud to say that Co-op Academy Grange made the biggest contribution to the poetry featured!
A huge thank you to The People Powered Press for giving our young writers a voice and a platform to shine. This collaboration is a perfect example of creativity, community, and culture coming together to make something truly special for Bradford 2025.
