Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are delighted to have your child take part in our Young Writers Programme. This includes our in school creative writing workshops with our assigned Writer-in-Residence, national writing competitions, our Young Writers Festival, regional events, our summer residential, and for our full Young Writers Programme, a published group anthology featuring your child’s writing.
First Story is a registered charity working towards a society that encourages and supports young people from all backgrounds to write creatively for pleasure, power and agency. We believe that everyone has a story to tell, a unique voice, and a right to be heard. We partner with non-selective secondary schools in England offering high quality after school enrichment provision. Our flagship Young Writers Programme empowers young people with the confidence and skills to tell their own stories.
To fully participate in and benefit from our programme, all First Story students must complete an Intellectual Property (IP) consent form. Please read through and complete this with your child at the start of the programme.
Thank you and we look forward to working together!
