Join us for the First Story Midlands Connect at Nottingham Trent University’s Chaucer Building on Monday 14 December 2026, 9.45am – 3.30pm.

During the day, First Story writers will facilitate on-campus writing workshops, enabling participants to meet and work with a diverse range of writing professionals.  There will also be a Q&A panel with writers and publishers and a chance to find out about university life.

At the end of the day, a showcase session will build students’ confidence in public speaking and performance. 

The event is free to attend for First Story partner schools, and £13 per student for non-partner schools. All schools will need to cover transport costs.
