IP Consent Form

SCHOOL STAFF: This online consent form is for parents/guardians only. If you have paper forms, please upload via the Schools’ Hub

Dear Parent/Guardian,

First Story is a registered charity working towards a society that encourages and supports all young people to write creatively for pleasure and agency. We believe there is dignity and power in being able to tell your own story, and that writing can transform lives. We work in UK secondary schools to equip young people with the skills and confidence to tell their stories well.

We are delighted to have your child take part in our Young Writers Programme. This includes our in-school creative writing programme with a Writer-in-Residence, national writing competitions, our Young Writers’ Festival, regional events, our summer residential, and a published group anthology featuring your child’s writing.

To fully participate in and benefit from our programme, all First Story students must complete an Intellectual Property (IP) consent form. Please read through and complete this with your child at the start of the programme.
