What’s involved?
The First Story London Connect event will take place on Friday 30th June 2023 at the University of Greenwich from 9.45am – 3.30pm. Open to First Story partners schools in London, the event will encourage participants to connect with each other as a community of young writers, as well as strengthen knowledge of creative careers and pathways.
During the day guest authors will facilitate on site writing workshops, enabling participants to meet and work with a diverse range of writing professionals. University of Greenwich Student Ambassadors will offer a tour of the university and a question and answer sessions about the university experience. At the end of the day, a showcase session will build students’ confidence in public speaking and performance.
The event is free to attend for First Story partner schools although schools will need to cover transport costs.

First Story Connect London — registration form
Partner schools are invited to register to attend the Connect event with up to 20 students. Schools will need to cover transport costs and school staff will need to accompany young writers to this event. Please note that the Greenwich campus is 10 minutes walk from either Cutty Sark DLR station or from Greenwich station on the Thameslink. There is limited parking on the site.
